On April 2, with the support of the project "Strengthening Innovation Communications for Influential Universities" (4InnoPipe) of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology for Higher Education (EIT HEI), the Ecotechnology Day - 6th International Meetup dedicated to technologies in the field of environmental safety - was held at the Kyiv Academic University. Participants and visitors were able to evaluate the most promising innovations in environmental protection, learn new things about eco-trends, find eco-conscious partners and like-minded people, and get inspired by new ideas.
The event was held in a mixed format. Participants discussed the state of development of eco-technologies in Ukraine and ways to solve environmental problems through the introduction of innovative technologies and the formation of joint projects in the innovation network. Scientists, students, business representatives, startups, NGOs, and other non-governmental organizations presented their most interesting projects in the field of eco-technologies: Energy, Production, Agro-food technologies, Clean Water, and Digitalization. This year's Ecotechnology Day featured more than thirty unique technologies that, if implemented in production, can make a significant contribution to the green economy and give future generations of Ukrainians a chance for a clean environment. Individual projects will be presented at the international event of the 4InnoPipe project.
At the end of the event, Dr. Nina Chala announced the Kyiv-Mohyla II Open Hackathon BEFirst hackathon of the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, which is scheduled for the fall of 2024.
