Mohyla Open Hackathon "BE FIRST: Future of Innovation, Resilience, Security, Technology“ under the slogan ”Ideas without limits: generate, act, be!"

The Department of Marketing and Business Management of NaUKMA, the Center for Sustainable Development Analytics and Business Modeling, the Kyiv Academic University and the Bogomolets National Medical University invite initiative young people to participate in the Mohyla Open Hackathon innovation project competition "BE FIRST: Future of Innovation, Resilience, Security, Technology“ 2025 under the slogan ”Ideas without Borders: Generate, Act, Be!".

The competition is held to help its participants acquire competencies in the ability to identify and solve complex problems in the field of sustainable development based on critical thinking of scientific and empirical material, development and justification of practical solutions.

The Mohyla Open Hackathon “BE FIRST” is open to young people under the age of 35 (students obtaining a bachelor's, master's or doctoral degree, other young innovators/entrepreneurs).

1. To participate in the Mohyla Open Hackathon “BE FIRST”, you need to:

• prepare a project that will offer a practical solution or business idea in one of the priority areas:
• security and responses to the challenges of a changing world;
• European Green Deal and green transformation;
• health and quality of life;
• sustainable industry and sustainable mobility;
• digital innovation and artificial intelligence;
• post-war recovery.

2. Get acquainted with the Regulations of the Mohyla Open Hackathon “BE FIRST” and the criteria for evaluating projects.

3. By April 21, 2025, form a team of like-minded people of 4-5 people and register it here. When registering, you will need to add a brief description of the idea (up to 1000 words) and a video presentation of the team (up to 3 minutes).

4. The project will be presented at the event on April 25, 2025.

The projects and team presentations will be evaluated by a jury consisting of representatives of companies from the real sector of the economy.

The winners, who will take 1st to 3rd place, will be rewarded with the opportunity to present their project as part of the pitching session at the CloudEARTHi conference, which will take place on 9-11.06.2025 in Wroclaw.

The event is implemented within the framework of a pilot project of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in cooperation with the Innovation Development Fund to create a network of startup schools - incubators - accelerators based on higher education and research institutions and with the support of the EU-funded SEEDplus project.
