The course aims to provide participants with a profound understanding of the theoretical foundations, practical implementation, and emerging trends in the integration of digital twins within the realms of advanced materials and sustainable structural design. It helps to bridge the gap between theory and practice, empowering learners to leverage digital twins for the development of innovative materials and environmentally conscious environment.

Required knowledge:

basic knowledge of AI and ML algorithms, physics of continuous media, materials science, mechanics of materials, principles of design and operation of typical structures and components. 

Skills acquired:

Upon course completion, participants will gain a multifaceted skill set covering both theoretical understanding and practical implementation. This includes grasping the principles of industry revolutions and sustainable economic approaches, comprehending the concept of digital twins and their application, familiarizing themselves with the typical principles governing the design, operation, and maintenance of sustainable infrastructure, understanding the Materials 4.0 concept and its analogy to the development of materials during industrial revolutions, and acquiring knowledge of the characteristic features required to implement a component of digital twins for Materials 4.0.

The course is free of charge. After completing the course, all participants who complete the program and pass the test will receive certificates with ECTS credits (0.5 credits).
