The Academ.City project aimed to conduct a feasibility study and develop a road map for establishing a Science park in Kyiv, based on 12 Research Institutes of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. In July 2021 the Memorandum of the Association for Academic Cooperation “Academ.City” was signed by these 12 institutes and KAU took further responsibility for coordinating their activities in the field of technology transfer and bringing innovations to market. The first co-working zone was organized in KAU, hosting 30+ deep tech networking and incubation activities within a year. Further work included a legal entity foundation, fundraising and development of an appropriate business model of a science park in cooperation with Kyiv City State Administration and other stakeholders.
