SEEDplus Startup Competition - Turning Ideas into Sustainable Success - was held on April 21
The SEEDplus project, funded by the European Innovation Council and the European Executive Agency for SMEs (EISMEA), is pleased to announce an exceptional two-stage start-up competition aimed at promoting innovation, environmental sustainability and entrepreneurship in the European Union and among young entrepreneurs.
The competition was open to teams from all over Ukraine that directly contribute to environmental sustainability with their products or services - for example, in the areas of renewable energy, clean technology, sustainable agriculture, water conservation, waste management, reducing carbon footprints, promoting sustainable urban development, striving for zero emissions, or applying deep technologies to solve environmental problems. This call is also open to all startups from any sector that operate with a business model that is in line with the EU taxonomy for sustainable activities. Your initiative is crucial. We encourage a wide range of innovations, aiming to support diverse businesses that together push the boundaries of environmental sustainability.
Introducing the participating teams:
OUTEX
It is an innovative IOS and Android app for sports and rehabilitation,
where professional trainers create workout fragments and artificial intelligence
controls the correctness of the user's exercises.
AgroTHERMAL

AgroTHERMAL is a startup that introduces a new way to use geothermal energy in the agricultural sector. It proposes innovative solutions for heating and cooling agricultural buildings by utilizing heat pumps with horizontal ground heat exchangers located just below the depth of soil freezing under crop fields. This approach allows the use of the space beneath the fields for crop cultivation while providing a lower cost of heating and cooling compared to existing alternative solutions in this area.

Three teams won the competition: OUTEX, METCERCOAT, and MeGoElectric UA, who received financial support to participate in the international SEEDplus competition.
After participating in the Grand Prix, the winner of the international competition will receive a three-month free acceleration program designed specifically to accelerate the development of your startup. This exclusive program has been developed by our business partners, experienced experts in startup development and unlocking entrepreneurial potential.
