RESULTS OF THE ACADEM.CITY ACCELERATION PROGRAM 202

We summarize the results of the Academ.City Acceleration Program 2025, which became an important step in preparing research teams, startups, and entrepreneurs to participate in international and national grant competitions. The program was aimed at developing practical competencies in preparing high-quality grant proposals and strategic project planning.

The Acceleration Program was delivered in an online format from October 7 to November 17, 2025, and brought together 41 participants—researchers, startup representatives, and entrepreneurs working on innovative projects across various fields.

Within the program, 6 thematic workshops and 13 individual consultations were conducted, during which participants gained practical knowledge and tools for preparing competitive grant applications.

During the acceleration, participants developed key skills, including:

• analysis of grant programs and assessment of project alignment with call requirements;

• formulation of project logic (objectives, tasks, expected results, impact);

• preparation of structured grant proposals in line with donor requirements, including Horizon Europe and EIC;

• development of work packages, implementation plans, and timelines;

• preparation of project budgets, cost estimates, and expenditure justifications;

• risk assessment and development of risk management plans.

The workshops were delivered by experts from the Academ.City Innovation Center, who shared hands-on experience in preparing and managing grant projects. Experts from various Academ.City domains also joined the consultations to support project teams.

Participants who completed all assignments received professional development certificates, while active workshop attendees received certificates of participation issued by Kyiv Academic University.

The Acceleration Program was implemented within the framework of an experimental project of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, in cooperation with the Innovation Development Fund, aimed at establishing a network of startup schools, incubators, and accelerators at higher education institutions and research organizations.
