 Project competition Mohyla Open Hackathon “BE FIRST: Future of Innovation, Resilience, Security, Technology”

The Department of Marketing and Business Management at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, the Center for Analytics and Business Modeling for Sustainable Development, the Kyiv Academic University, and the Bogomolets National Medical University invite proactive young people to participate in the innovation project competition “Kyiv-Mohyla Open Hackathon BE FIRST: Future of Innovation, Resilience, Security, Technology” 2025 under the slogan “Ideas without Borders: Generate, Act, Be!”

The competition aims to help participants develop competencies in identifying and addressing complex problems in sustainable development through critical analysis of scientific and empirical material, as well as through the design and justification of practical solutions.

The “Kyiv-Mohyla Open Hackathon BE FIRST” invites young people under the age of 35 — including bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD students, as well as young innovators and entrepreneurs — to participate.

To join the Hackathon, participants should:
• Develop a project proposing a practical solution or business idea in one of the following priority areas:
– Security and responses to global challenges;
– European Green Deal and green transformation;
– Health preservation and quality of life improvement;
– Sustainable industry and mobility;
– Digital innovation and artificial intelligence;
– Post-war recovery.

• Form a team of 4–5 like-minded participants and register by November 8, 2025 using the provided link. Registration requires a short description of the idea (up to 1000 words) and a team presentation video (up to 3 minutes).

• Present the project during the event on November 12, 2025.

Projects and presentations will be evaluated by a Jury that includes representatives from real-sector companies.

The event is implemented by Kyiv Academic University and National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy within the experimental project of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, in cooperation with the Innovation Development Fund, aimed at establishing a network of startup schools, incubators, and accelerators at higher education and research institutions.
