Industrial hackathon for enterprises in Kyiv

Ukrainian industry is undergoing a period of profound transformation caused by military challenges, the need for technological renewal, and the desire to integrate into global production chains. Companies are actively seeking ways to modernize their processes and ensure their sustainability in order to increase competitiveness.

In this context, the Kyiv City Administration is initiating an Industrial Hackathon as a platform for dialogue between the R&D sector, technology, and business. The event aims to support the development of the capital's leading enterprises and create conditions for finding innovative solutions.

The Industrial Hackathon is scheduled for October 10-11 in Kyiv. The venue will be announced separately for security reasons.

Registration and coordination meeting

Participation in the hackathon requires prior registration.

Key areas:

• Hackathon participants will be able to work on solving the most pressing technological challenges facing Kyiv-based companies in the following key areas:
• Digital transformation: automated production and quality control, IoT platforms for industrial equipment, optimization of logistics routes, real-time production data collection and analysis system.
• Biotechnology: bioactive components for dairy product recipes, express quality control based on biosensors.
• Energy efficiency: energy consumption monitoring, optimization of renewable energy sources, industrial waste processing, water treatment and purification, pumping station management.
• Materials science and production technologies: innovative packaging solutions, automated quality control, CNC control systems, heat-resistant materials, shape memory materials, non-destructive testing.
• HR: digital solutions for staff training and development, HR automation, recruitment systems.

The list of areas is not exhaustive, but only outlines the most pressing challenges. Therefore, teams representing any relevant technological solutions that will contribute to the development of industry in the city of Kyiv are invited to participate.

Opportunities for teams:

• Prospects for concluding cooperation agreements with relevant enterprises and mentoring support from experienced experts.
• Opportunity to participate in Ukrainian and international acceleration programs.
• Consultations on attracting funding from various sources, including state and international grant programs, venture investments from VC funds, etc.
• Access to laboratories and research equipment of leading scientific institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in order to provide material and technical support for innovative developments.

The coordination meeting will take place on August 26, 2025, remotely. During the meeting, the technical tasks received by the organizers from partner companies will be presented, and participants will meet the coordinators. At least one representative from each team is invited to participate. A link to the meeting will be sent to registered participants.
